Overview
geo_encoder_decoder is a utility plugin that enables address-to-coordinate (geocoding) and coordinate-to-address (reverse geocoding) conversion directly within the Dify platform.
It uses the OpenCage Geocoding API to empower developers with fast and flexible location translation — no backend logic required.
Perfect for apps needing location-based logic, mapping, and address normalization.

Configure
1. Requires OpenCage API Key
The geo_encoder_decoder plugin requires an OpenCage API key to function.
Set it as an environment variable named OPENCAGE_API_KEY.
2. Get geo_encoder_decoder tools from Plugin Marketplace
The geo_encoder_decoder tools can be found in the Plugin Marketplace. Please install the plugin first.
3. Minimal Setup in Dify
Once installed and the API key is set, the plugin works immediately. Just add a node and enter the location data.
4. The geo_encoder_decoder plugin includes the following functions:
Reverse Geocoding (Encode Coordinates)
Convert a latitude/longitude pair into a human-readable address.
Forward Geocoding (Decode Address)
Convert a location string into its corresponding latitude and longitude.

5. Use the tool
You can use the geo_encoder_decoder tool in the following application types:

Both Chatflow and Workflow applications support adding geo_encoder_decoder as a tool node.
Agent applications
This tool is currently not supported in Agent applications.
