Zendesk Advanced Ticket Tools

A Dify Tool Plugin for Zendesk Support teams that need direct API access to tickets, Messaging conversations, attachments, Help Center content, and views. It does not depend on a custom MCP service or browser relay.

Why this plugin

This plugin unifies Email and Messaging ticket events into one timeline, exposes Messaging media URLs as verified downloadable attachments, and provides Zendesk view operations alongside Help Center and confirmation-gated ticket updates.

Setup

  1. Install the .difypkg file in Dify → Integrations → Tools → Install from local file.
  2. Configure the provider with your Zendesk subdomain, an agent email address, and an API token.
  3. Grant the credential to the workspace members who may use the plugin.

The plugin calls https://{subdomain}.zendesk.com/api/v2/... using Zendesk API-token basic authentication. The configured agent must have Zendesk permissions for the requested operation.

get_ticket normalizes standard Email and Messaging events into a single timeline and preserves Messaging media URLs. list_attachments also exposes Messaging content.media_url values as downloadable attachments. download_attachment checks the requested attachment URL against the specified ticket before downloading; attachment_id remains available for existing Email attachment workflows.

Usage

After adding the required action to an Agent or Workflow, provide the Zendesk ticket ID. For example, call get_ticket with ticket_id: 3378 to retrieve the ticket's metadata and unified email or Messaging timeline.

To download an attachment, first call list_attachments with the ticket ID. Then call download_attachment with the same ticket_id and either the returned attachment_id or content_url. The tool validates that the attachment belongs to that ticket before returning the file result.

Write safeguards

All five write tools require confirm=true; otherwise they return a confirmation-required result and do not call Zendesk.

update_ticket_fields accepts only open, pending, hold, and solved status values. It intentionally rejects new and closed.

add_public_reply is only for standard Zendesk tickets. It checks the ticket first and refuses Messaging tickets. Use add_internal_note for agent-only notes on either channel.
