Overview

Rag Ready Converter is a Dify tool plugin that integrates with the Rag Ready Converter service to transform uploaded files into RAG Ready text. It is intended for files that are often difficult to handle in common RAG pipelines, including documents such as PDF, Excel, PowerPoint, and images.

Setup

Prerequisites

Before using this plugin, prepare the following:

1. A Rag Ready Converter account
2. An API key issued in the Rag Ready Converter service
3. The email address registered with Rag Ready Converter

How to Get Credentials

1. Sign up or log in at https://rag-ready-converter.com/
2. Issue an API key in the service
3. In Dify plugin settings, enter the same email address linked to your account

Configure the Plugin in Dify

In Dify plugin settings, provide the following credentials:

Usage

Input

Typical Flow

1. Pass a file to the Data Conversion node.
2. Configure the output format in the Data Conversion node as needed.
3. Provide conversion_id to the Get Conversion Status/Result node and wait for completion.
4. Pass the converted result to downstream nodes (for example, an LLM node).

Best Practices

• Start with small or representative files before processing large batches
• Use Markdown output when you want better structure for LLM prompting or retrieval
• Increase timeout for large files or complex documents
• Validate the converted content before using it in production workflows

Limitations

• Conversion time may vary depending on file size and document complexity
• Very large files may require longer timeout settings
• File size is supported up to 5GB
• Output quality depends on the source file quality and structure

Privacy

This plugin sends user-specified files and configuration data to the Rag Ready Converter service only for file conversion and result retrieval. Before using it in production, review the plugin privacy policy and your internal data handling requirements.
