This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") governs the handling of user information, input data, and related data in connection with RAG Ready Converter (the "Plugin"), published on the Dify Marketplace.

Important: This Plugin processes data using an external API, RAG Ready Converter. Some or all of the data you input or upload to this Plugin may be transmitted to RAG Ready Converter.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to information that the Plugin Provider may collect, use, transmit, or store as a result of your use of the Plugin.

The handling of data by the Dify platform itself (Dify Cloud, Community Edition, etc.) is governed by Dify's own terms, policies, and the settings of the relevant users (e.g., Workspace administrators). The Plugin Provider does not control or oversee all aspects of data handling by the Dify platform operator.

2. Information Handled

The Plugin may handle the following information in order to provide its functionality.

2.1 Information Provided by the User (Input Data)

  • Text input: Prompts, instruction text, content to be converted, metadata, etc.
  • Files / Content (where handled by the Plugin): Documents, knowledge materials, URLs, structured data, etc.
  • Configuration settings: Conversion options, output formats, parameters, etc.

Note: Input data may contain personal or sensitive information, such as names, email addresses, postal addresses, phone numbers, government-issued IDs, medical/health information, or financial information. Users are encouraged to consider masking or removing such information before submission, as appropriate.

2.2 Information the Plugin May Technically Process

  • Data contained in API requests/responses (input data, output results, error information, etc.)
  • Minimal operational logs (when enabled): Request timestamp, processing result (success/failure), error details, performance metrics, etc.

2.3 Information the Plugin Does Not Collect as a General Rule

As a general rule, the Plugin is not intended for the Plugin Provider to independently collect the following information:

  • User registration information such as name, email address, phone number, or postal address
  • Tracking information via cookies, advertising IDs, etc.
  • Behavioral tracking data such as browsing history or purchase history

3. Purpose of Use

Information handled by the Plugin is used for the following purposes:

  1. Providing the Plugin's core functionality (e.g., converting input data, formatting for RAG, structuring, generating output, etc.)
  2. Transmitting data to the external API (RAG Ready Converter) and retrieving processing results
  3. Incident response and quality improvement (error analysis, performance improvements, maintaining compatibility)
  4. Preventing misuse (detecting and deterring excessive requests or abusive behavior)

Secondary Use for Machine Learning, Etc.

The Plugin Provider will not use users' input data or output results for secondary purposes such as machine learning, statistical analysis, or research and development.

However, data handling by the external API (RAG Ready Converter) is governed by that service's own privacy policy and terms of use.

4. External Transmission and Third-Party Disclosure

4.1 Transmission to the External API (RAG Ready Converter)

The Plugin transmits users' input data (text, file content, conversion settings, etc.) to RAG Ready Converter in order to provide its functionality. The scope of data transmitted varies depending on the input and settings provided by the user and the processing workflow.

  • Destination service: RAG Ready Converter
  • Information that may be transmitted: Input text, data to be converted, configuration parameters, metadata required for processing, and (when enabled) error information, etc.
  • Purpose of transmission: Executing conversion processing and returning results

4.2 Other Third Parties

Except as described above, the Plugin Provider will not provide data, including users' personal information, to any third party without the user's consent.

However, this does not apply where disclosure is permitted under applicable laws and regulations, such as in response to legally mandated disclosure requests.

5. Data Retention

5.1 Retention by the Plugin Provider

  • Input data / output results: As a general rule, these are not permanently stored on the Plugin Provider's servers or similar infrastructure.
  • Operational logs: Retained (retention period: up to 30 days; items retained: request timestamp / processing result (success/failure) / error details / performance metrics)

5.2 Retention by Third-Party Services

Data retention and deletion by RAG Ready Converter is governed by that service's own policy.

6. Security

The Plugin Provider takes the following measures, to a reasonable extent, to protect the information it handles:

  • Encryption of communications (HTTPS)
  • Appropriate management of confidential information such as API keys
  • Regular review of dependencies and vulnerabilities

7. User Choices and Rights

  • Users may avoid including personal or sensitive information in their inputs, or may mask such information.
  • Where the Plugin Provider retains logs or other data, users may request disclosure, correction, or deletion by contacting info@sniffout.net (Sniffout Inc., Personal Information Handling Officer: Representative Director, Kai Tsumoto). Requests will be handled within a reasonable scope.

8. Use by Minors

This Plugin is not designed primarily for use by minors. If a minor uses this Plugin, please ensure that parental or guardian consent has been obtained beforehand.

9. Changes to This Policy

The Plugin Provider may update this Policy as necessary. In the event of material changes, notice will be provided via the Marketplace description page.
